Personal reflection
Choosing not to go to uni
Working in a junior capacity and getting frustrated
Then moving to Bournemouth and quickly learning the ropes of an interesting job in medical insurance but finding that I quickly found ways to make the job easier and quicker and therefore getting bored again.
I found my place when I joined a new project working as office manager for a school. I loved being able to take something totally new and shaping it. I felt out of my depth at times but I got to learn that you can find ways to learn almost anything if you’re willing to work hard and educate yourself. Or if I couldn’t do it, it was ok to ask for help. Something I’m still learning!
My current job is a place where I feel totally safe to grow and learn new things. I’ve enjoyed the autonomy to make changes to make things more efficient and the grace for when I’ve made a mistake.
