1. Consider the importance of clarity in staying on mission. Take a moment to reflect on whether you have a clear understanding of what matters most to you or your organisation. Are your mission, methods, and motivations clearly defined and communicated? If not, what steps can you take to gain clarity in these areas?

Our Mission is brought, it needs to be narrowed down: To Show Jesus’ love.
The vision and aim is clearer.
Vision: To prepare learners for grade 4 through remedial foundation phase education and
Aim 1. Increase confidence in learners – achieved; 2. Provide a safe place for learners – Achieved; 3. Give children hope through discipleship – Achieved, but should improve; 4. Uplift communities – Achieved; 5. Help learners with Maths and English, we help them but we should get them ready for grade 4.

We know what matters most. The learners, but are we efficient on focusing on getting the learners ready for grade 4?

2. An organisation’s guiding documents (i.e. vision and mission statement, statement of faith, etc.) define the mission and can protect the organisation against drift. Have a look at your own statements now. How clearly do these guiding documents define your organisation’s mission? Make a note of any documents that need to be refined or created to help clarify and protect the mission.

The mission should be specific in showing Jesus’ love, but living it as well and making disciples out of the learners, the extra class teachers and delivering learners that are ready for grade 4 in Maths and English.
