I’m reflecting on what Malcolm mentioned about culture — that a leader creates the culture of the organization, either intentionally or unintentionally. I want to ponder a bit more the leaders of various organizations and how the whole org culture reflects their personality and values.

Our organization is very focused on embedding values at the moment. We’re pouring a lot of energy into creating an org culture intentionally. But what things have unintentionally also become part of our culture, I wonder.

I am only a sub-leader – the leader of a department. But I want my department’s culture to be encouraging, safe, prayerful, playful, and creative. I will reflect on what movement is needed and how.
